Version 2.0 - Full Revamp
Core Event System
Random events trigger every 10 minutes (configurable in admin menu) with a countdown timer displayed in the action bar. Events persist across player disconnects with automatic rejoin synchronization. A 2-second grace period applies when logging back in before the current event effects are applied.
Events Included
Scale - 7 size variants from 0.1x to 4x with adjusted movement, jump height, and step height.
Mine - 5 mining modifications including auto-smelting ores, fragile tools with faster durability loss, lava leaks when mining stone, and speed boosts or slowdowns.
Reach - 5 reach distances from 0.25x to 3x affecting block and entity interaction range.
Liquid - Hotter lava that deals more damage and acidic water that damages players over time.
Sky - Acid rain damages outdoor players, solar flares burn during daytime, and deadly moonlight strikes at night.
Troll - Pumpkin curses occupy the head slot, beds explode when slept in, and inventories shuffle randomly.
Floor - Midas touch converts blocks to gold, floor turns to lava beneath players, and terrain collapses when walked on.
Meteor - 4 meteor shower intensities from light showers to massive meteor impacts.
Gravity - 5 gravity levels including zero gravity, light gravity, normal, heavy, and crushing falls.
Token Trials System
Optional challenge system with 20% activation chance after 4+ events. Default trial duration of 25 minutes.
27 total tasks across 3 difficulty tiers. Normal tasks reward 1 token for basic objectives like mining stone, killing mobs, or traveling. Hard tasks reward 3 tokens for killing bosses, obtaining rare items, reaching dimensions, or finding structures. Challenge tasks reward 5 tokens for collection objectives like gathering all music discs, armor trims, or log types.
Players select difficulty with /trigger mwe.token.difficulty set <1-3> and check progress with /trigger mwe.task. Cumulative tasks include baseline tracking to prevent retroactive completion.
Custom Items Added
16 Colored Umbrellas - Protection from acid rain and solar flares with safe falling and reduced gravity when held.
Amethyst Staff - Rechargeable raycast weapon that changes player size. Toggles between growth and shrink modes. Bounces off 18 glass types up to 3 times with 50-block range. Holds 20 charges maximum.
Amethyst Core - Consumable item providing 10 charges per core to recharge the Amethyst Staff. Stacks to 16.
Pumpkin Carver - Removes pumpkins from your own head or attacks others to remove theirs. Drops 4 pumpkin seeds. Works on cursed pumpkins.
Moon Shades - Head slot item blocking damage from Deadly Moon events.
Traffic Cone - Wearable head slot item or placeable in item frames to prevent floor collapse. Item frame placement creates 15-block radius protection.
Midas Crown - Head slot item providing immunity to Midas Touch events.
Extendo Arm - Offhand item increasing block and entity reach by 3 blocks.
Forcefield Generator - Placeable barrel with GUI. Deflects 15 projectile types with configurable radius from 5 to 40 blocks. Powered by Redstone Batteries with fuel consumption scaling by radius. Includes toggleable particle effects.
Redstone Battery - Fuel source for Forcefield Generators. Each battery holds 18,000 ticks of charge. Stacks to 64.
Admin Controls
Creative and Spectator-only administrative menu accessible via /function moreworldevents:admin/admin_menu.
Toggle individual events on and off across all 9 categories. Adjust event timer duration and Token Trial settings. Force specific events or trigger random event rerolls. Credits section displays datapack information.
